"Always be joyful.  Always keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The verses above - from Paul's first letter to the people of Thessalonica - are the basis for my faith. I refer back to them in everything I do, and I take them very seriously. As your Church Life Coordinator, my goal is to provide you with opportunities to find joy, to be aware of who needs your prayers, and to know that there are always reasons to be thankful. I know that once you have become a part of this wonderful church family, you will find it was the best decision you ever made.

I'm so proud to be member! I began my time here as an employee, but Coupeville United Methodist Church has become like a home, with people whom I call true  friends. These are trustworthy and hearty people, tireless and selfless, deeply involved in their ministries. It's rare to find people who "walk what they talk", but you will definitely find them here!

Please contact me if you would like information about our church. I will be happy to spend time with you.

"And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Dear families of Jesus Christ,

I love to study history. In fact, there is a piece of our local history in my office right now.

When you have a moment, stop by to see the table I use as my desk; it has an amazing history.

Originally, this table housed a piano and was owned by the great-grandmother of Al and Roger Sherman. The piano was eventually removed, and the table came to the church, where it served as a work table in our kitchen, serving countless people who ate here. In recent years, the table did its duty in the overflow room, holding bibles, hymnals, and various other things that were needed from time to time.

I first saw the table in April of 2007, when Jill Usher, the SPPPR chairperson at the time, welcomed Sho Sho and I with coffee and goodies served on it.

Now I am grateful to the Sherman family for allowing me to grace my office with this historic artifact, where it will continue to serve the Lord with my humble works of love.
